Aarushi

From observing tide pool creatures at Natural Bridges Beach to frequent visits to the Happy Hollows Zoo, Aarushi grew up exploring the Bay Area's natural world. This curiosity fueled Aarushi's academic journey, leading her to pursue a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at Cornell University.

Throughout college, Aarushi tutored freshman-year chemistry, a notoriously challenging course. Through this experience, she became acutely aware of the disparities in educational backgrounds among students. Some struggled due to gaps in their foundational math and science knowledge from high school. Witnessing this underscored the critical importance to her of a strong K-12 education.

Through tutoring, Aarushi hopes to empower students by equipping them with the essential tools to unlock their full academic potential. Her goal as a tutor is not only to foster a love for the sciences but also to cultivate effective study habits. She aspires to make the sciences less intimidating and more engaging, and works to bring out confidence in her students so they can tackle even the most daunting tests.

Outside of tutoring, Aarushi enjoys hiking, hammocking, playing frisbee, and indulging in board games.
