Claudia believes that learning is a lifelong pursuit that begins with each student’s natural curiosity, creativity, and story. As a teacher, mentor, and tutor, she prioritizes understanding and compassion as the foundation for any successful educational experience. She loves helping a student discover their own interests and voice throughout their studies, whether its finding confidence in essay writing or developing new skills as a budding historian, artist, scientist, or mathematician.

Claudia grew up in Los Angeles, California, where she first found her passion for art, writing, history, and literature. She has taught a wide range of subjects and students, from undergraduate poets and critical theorists at University of California, Davis to middle schoolers developing their reading comprehension skills at Cal State Los Angeles’ Los Angeles Writing Project. With each student, Claudia aims to empower students to unlock the necessary tools for a strong K-12 education that will guide them far beyond the classroom.

Claudia’s debut novel is forthcoming from Bloomsbury Publishing in 2027, and her essays and fiction have appeared in The Paris Review, Artforum, The Baffler, VICE, and elsewhere. She received at Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from University of California, Davis, and earned her Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College in Art History. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, reading, and hiking with her friends.
