Darrow

College Counseling

Born and raised in Palo Alto, California, Darrow is well-aware of the pressures students experience surrounding the college admissions process. Having grown up in the Bay Area and gone through this process herself, she feels passionately about connecting students with universities with which they are the best fit. She understands how anxiety inducing and competitive high school can be, and feels strongly about helping students discover and pursue their passions during these formative years in their lives. With experience in undergraduate admissions, Darrow is excited to help students through their high school years (both academic and extracurricular), to ultimately find a college with which they will be a wonderful match!

Darrow graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Spanish Language and Literature and Human Rights, as well as a Master’s in Latin American Studies. Upon graduating from Stanford, Darrow joined the Stanford Office for Undergraduate Admissions as an admission counselor. Throughout her time as an admission counselor, Darrow focused on reading hundreds of applications, as well as working directly with high schoolers across the country to help them find their places on college campuses. While Stanford is a wonderful institution, Darrow’s main focus as an admission counselor was to show students from all backgrounds that going to college (any college) is a possibility – and a great one at that!

When she is not helping students through the college admissions process, Darrow can be found walking her miniature longhaired dachshund around the UCLA Botanical Garden, or riding horses (she was a member of Stanford’s equestrian team!). Darrow is currently enjoying planning her wedding that will take place in Wales, UK next summer!
