Lucian

As a tutor, Lucian helps to develop and encourage the unique and imaginative voices of each of his students. He believes that teaching is, at its core, about developing trusting and empathetic relationships. He fosters a learning environment of creativity, exploration, and thoughtful reflection, and loves to get excited with students about new discoveries and ideas.

Lucian has worked as a tutor, private educator, theater instructor, and camp counselor for the past 6 years. He recently graduated from UCLA with a degree in Theater, Film and Television, and has taken multiple creative writing courses at Stanford University. He has worked as an assistant instructor for Sid Ganis at the American Hellenic University in Athens, Greece. His poetry has been used in educational programs, and his short films have won awards at festivals. In addition to tutoring, Lucian is currently working as a director’s assistant for an Oscar nominated filmmaker.

Lucian loves classic literature, backpacking, and spending time in the ocean. When he’s not working he can be found climbing trees, surfing, reading books and teaching himself the guitar!
