Italian Language
Melania understands the difficulties that arise along the path of learning a new language (she speaks four languages herself), and she strives to always maintain a clear, patient, and gentle teaching style. She adapts her lesson plans to best fit the needs and interests of each student, while still managing to transmit her passion for language.
Melania has taught Italian as a second language to hundreds of students from all over the world for over five years. She holds a B.A. in foreign languages and literatures from University of Catania as well as a DILS PG certification in teaching Italian at the University of Perugia. She is currently completing a master’s degree in teaching Italian for foreigners at the University of Catania.
Previously, Melania worked as a teacher in a private university of Italian for foreigners in Tropea. Her dream is to open her own school by the sea in her beloved Sicily, where she can teach Italian and also show students the culture and rugged beauty of southern Italy
