Michael
Manuscript Editing, Writing Enrichment
“Michael wasn’t just thorough; he was inspired… a combination of the highest intelligence and sensitivity that only the finest and rarest of editors can bring to bear on the work of others.”
– Leslie (Boston)
Michael believes that in a friendly and supportive environment learning to write can be enormously empowering and rewarding, regardless of one’s goals. Engaging essays and captivating stories both emerge from developing the ability to think clearly on the page and empathize with the reader.
Michael has taught and edited writers at various levels, from students to seasoned novelists. He served as a visiting professor in the MFA program at the University of Hong Kong, teaching graduate-level workshops in fiction and memoir, and as a graduate fellow, teaching undergraduates. He earned his MFA in Creative Writing from Boston University and his BA in Literature from Bard College.
Originally from New York City, Michael loves writing fiction, spending time in nature, and babysitting his niece and nephew.
