“My sons worked with Sydney and both had multiple acceptances and are now attending top schools. Sydney is a true professional and easy to work with.”

Sydney’s passion for supporting students began in high school: she tutored for Stanford’s EPATT program and worked as a bilingual ESL & civics instructor for immigrants pursuing U.S. citizenship. These experiences taught her that real learning starts with trust, and that students do their best work when they feel truly understood and safe to express and challenge themselves, regardless of the outcome. That belief still shapes her approach today — she aims to meet each student where they are, helps them build confidence alongside skill, and treats curiosity as something to nurture.
Sydney earned a B.A. in Psychology (minor in Environmental Studies) from Dartmouth College, graduating in 2014. She studied French at the Université de Lyon, served as co-captain of a competitive club tennis team, and led an outdoors orientation trip, serving as a mentor for younger students throughout their transition to college. After five years in New York, she returned to her native Bay Area, where she has continued building a marketing career alongside her work as a Dartmouth alumni interviewer and part-time college advisor — helping students gain acceptance to top schools including Stanford, Cornell, and UC Berkeley.
Beyond tutoring, Sydney can be found in her local ceramics studio, practicing yoga, trying out a new recipe, or at a concert with friends. She also loves spending time in Golden Gate Park and the Marin Headlands.
