Zack Cohen grew up in beautiful Marin County, where his curiosity about the natural world first took root. He went on to graduate with honors from UC Berkeley, earning a degree in Molecular Biology. Driven by a passion for science and the ocean, he continued his academic journey by completing a master’s degree in Oceanography at the University of Rhode Island, where he deepened his understanding of marine systems and environmental dynamics.

Zack began working as a tutor in high school, where he discovered a knack for breaking down complex topics and helping peers succeed. Since 2017, he has been tutoring full-time, helping students across all levels of high school math and science. His tutoring philosophy is grounded in patience, clarity, and building student confidence through personalized, goal-oriented instruction. He believes in fostering critical thinking and a growth mindset, empowering each student to become an independent and motivated learner.

Outside the classroom, Zack is an avid surfer who finds inspiration in the rhythm of the waves. He’s passionate about travel and enjoys exploring new cultures and cuisines—often bringing those experiences back to his kitchen, where he loves to cook. Whether hiking, camping, or simply spending time outdoors, Zack is always seeking new adventures that reflect his curiosity and zest for life.
